Richard - Psychotherapist

I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Manchester City Centre, offering both in person and online sessions.

My approach is client driven, starting with an initial consultation to check that we are a good match and to ensure that my experience level meets your needs.

I offer a space to talk and discuss current and past events. I am very open minded, non-judgmental and happy to talk about difficult or challenging issues.

I work with women and men from all backgrounds, in a range of areas. I  have worked closely with male issues and have experience working with gender diversity and LGBT+ issues.

Clients have said that they find me genuine, easy to talk to and compassionate. I have been told that I am not a ‘typical’ counsellor.

What my clients say about me

“This is the best experience of counselling I have had, by a long shot”

“I love that your type of therapy includes a little bit of humour at times. You have this great ability to analyse my thoughts and throw them back to me with a slightly higher intensity which makes me realise my thoughts aren’t always reality.”

“Its amazing how much I’ve changed in just a few sessions. It’s great to have this level of self-awareness now. Although there will always be a little Richard in my head reminding me to be a little more self-compassionate!”

“You don’t come across as a typical counsellor, or not what I would expect anyway. You’re much more down to earth and relatable!”
